What is a Record of Title?

A Record of Title is an official land ownership record. You can order a copy of a Record of Title to find current ownership information for any property which is done through a copy of Record of Title search.

A copy of Record of Title search is a current copy of the Record of Title which shows the current owner, the land description and any dealings associated. Property title records show a property’s proprietors, legal description and the rights and restrictions registered against the property title – for example, a mortgage, easement or covenant.

What will a copy of Record of Title search on a property reveal?

The copy of Record of Title search will reveal the property owner, the land description, the restrictions on the use of land, any covenants, easements and other equitable servitudes, any mortgages on title, any caveats that may be registered and the document by which the owner came to be on title.
